If a student requests to be referred to another repsponder or you believe the student is in need of guidance and support from a higher level responder based on your school policies and procedures, you have the ability to initiate a referral request.
You can do this by going into the conversation between you and the student.
In the top right corner of the screen, there is an icon that consists of three horizontal lines.
Click on the icon and one of the options that will appear says "Refer Student".
Click on this option.
Type in the name of the responder (must be a level 2 or level 3 responder) and provide an explanation for the referral. Once the referral is sent, the requested responder will be notified and a record of the referral request will be sent to the Network Admin's Wavely Dashboard.
The responder the student is referred to may then choose to approve or decline the request. If accepted, the student will then receive access to the requested responder and the responder will have access to the student. It is important to note that level 2 and 3 responders then have the ability to remove or re-add the student at any point.
Because responders can communicate with each other, you can send the requested responder a direct message for an update on the status of the referral.
